PREP will bring career planning services to the Cape May County high schools through a county-wide, traveling program.
Some of the key program elements are high school completion, work experience (such as internships, job shadowing and part-time employment), comprehensive guidance and counseling, supportive service referrals, and employment opportunities.
A particularly important part of helping students find employment is challenging them to work not just in any job, but in a job somehow related to a career goal.
The PREP Case Manager will guide each student and his/her support team in forming and implementing an individualized career plan, and an Employment Specialist will develop employment positions appropriate to each student's needs.
